The neighborhood all pitched in and got a bounce house, a DJ and some pizza for a Block Party. The parents and kids had a blast getting to know each other and getting to know some of the new people on the block. Here are some pictures that Leisl Smith took from the party.
Emma had her 4 year old portraits taken this morning and she did not want her picture taken anymore. When we were in the children's area we went to look at the birds and they were very comfortable with people....a little too comfortable for me. Check out the bird on and going in my purse.
Today we had a soccer game against the Cookie Monsters and it was 81 degrees. Last week we were freezing and this week we were hot...we are not complaining we will take the warm over the cold any day. Emma was the captain and we had our favorite referee, Doc, an ex-professional soccer player. He is great with the kids.
Emma's big girl bed arrived today. Mike and I picked out the daybed and Emma picked out the bedding. Mike is going to come home early today from work and we are going to surprise Emma. I can not wait!
Emma had her first soccer game of the spring. It felt like spring yesterday when it was 70 outside, but this morning at 10 am it was 40, but it felt like 32. We bundled up and Emma headed out to the soccer field. Apparently, after we left the house, we got an e-mail telling us all 10 am games were cancelled. So, we substituted on a different team (who also didn't realize the 10 am games were cancelled) and played some soccer. Emma had fun and did really well. We were very proud of her! Thanks to the Solars for letting Emma play and being the 'red' team instead of the Solars today!
On Monday, we went to Going Bonkers with the Mabus Family.
On Tuesday, we went to the Dallas Arboretum to check out the Storybook Playhouses and to get Emma's face painted.
On Friday, we went to Fort Worth to see the cattle drive in the Stockyards.
We had the party at ASI Gymnastics and had a blast! Stacy made 22 tutu's for the girls and Laurie and Stacy made 12 capes for the boys. Here's some videos of the days activities.
