Emma played the part of Alyssa the Evil Witch in “The race of the cities: Bad vs. Good” at the Dallas Children’s Theater. All the kids picked their own character names, special powers, destinations and mode of transportation in the storyline. Alyssa/Emma’s special power was that she can break glass with her scream.
UP Elementary had a Mother’s Day Performance with all of the Kindergarten classes.
Emma performed at the 9:30 and 11 AM services at Highland Park Presbyterian Church for Palm Sunday. They asked us not to video tape the actual service, so here’s a video of when they practiced in the sanctuary before the services.
We had Emma’s 6th Birthday Party at Michael’s. We had the kids do some coloring before everybody arrived, then moved on to painting aprons and decorating cookies before we sang Happy Birthday and had cookie cake and ice cream.
It was a little hectic coordinating 20+ 5 – 6 year olds, so not much video, but here’s everyone singing Happy Birthday to Emma.

Emma had the lead role of Mean Jean in the play “Mean Jean, the Recess Queen” at her Drama camp.

Emma missed the first and third day of school at Claire's Christian Day School because of the stomach bug. She loves her teacher Mrs. Hugg and is very excited about her last year of Pre-K.
This summer we drove up to Chicago and then to Wisconsin to spend time with Mike's side of the family. We had a lot of fun and the weather was wonderful! Click on the picture of Emma and Mike tubing to see more pictures.
